Dr. William Ribich, President and CEO

Dr. Ribich joined Foster-Miller when the company had fewer than 25 employees.  He has played a major role in the growth of the company to over 300 technical and support staff and a worldwide reputation as both a premier high technology development organization and a supplier of sophisticated hardware and services. Senior management positions at Foster-Miller included Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Internal Research and Development, and Senior Vice President.  He was named President in January, 2001.  Dr. Ribich holds patents on products ranging from Velcro® brand fasteners to appliqué armor. He  received his BS, MS and Sc.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Mr. Steven Ruggieri, Executive Vice President and COO

Mr. Ruggieri is Executive Vice President of  Operations for Foster-Miller and oversees all of the company’s engineering groups.  Prior to being promoted to Executive Vice President in 2003, Mr. Ruggieri was the Senior Vice President of Foster-Miller's Power Systems Technology Group (PSTG) which specializes in the design, engineering and development, and fielding of robotic systems for hazardous applications.  Mr. Ruggieri is a graduate of Northeastern University, where he earned a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering.  He also studied PWR nuclear steam supply and steam turbine/generator systems at the General Electric Field Engineering Development Center.  He joined Foster-Miller in 1977.

Dr. Richard Wiesman, Executive Vice President and CTO

Dr. Wiesman is the Chief Technology Officer for Foster-Miller and also oversees the Business Development group.  Prior to his promotion to executive vice president, he was Senior Vice President of Foster-Miller’s Electric and Electronic Systems Group (EESG) which specializes in electromechanical design, distributed controls, smart sensors and communications.    Dr. Wiesman received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from MIT.  He also lectures there.  He joined Foster-Miller in 1983.

Mr. Richard Noyes, Senior Vice President and CFO

Mr. Noyes is Foster-Miller’s Chief Financial Officer.  Prior to joining Foster-Miller in 2001, he was vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Astra Pharmaceuticals of Westborough, a division of AstraZenca. A CPA, he holds degrees in engineering and business administration from Dartmouth College, and a masters in finance from Bentley College.

Mr. Stephen Azarian, Vice President and General Counsel

Mr. Azarian joined Foster-Miller in 2001.  Prior to coming here, he had been General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and VP of Corporate Administration for CVSI, Inc., 4Front Technologies.  Mr. Azarian holds a BA in political science from Northeastern University, a JD from the New England School of Law and an MBA from Babson College.  He has been admitted to practice by the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts.  He is a member of the Massachusetts and American Bar Associations.

Ms. Kathrin Doyle, Vice President of Human Resources

Ms. Doyle joined Foster-Miller in 2001 as its Director of Human Resources.  Previously, she had been the corporate human resources manager/administration manager for Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratory (MERL).  She is a 2000 graduate of Emmanuel College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and also studied in the Advanced Human Resources Certificate Program at Bentley College from 1996 to 1998.  Ms. Doyle is a member of SHRM, NEHRA, and HRDN/ISDN.
